i know it’s probably fiction… but come on! am a skeptic….
ever heard of Acromegaly? well, say if Goliath had a tumor pressing on his pituitary gland, it would readily account for his gigantism. also his poor stability (albeit imposing structure). he would also need a tiny small bump to the head to do him in… (pre-existing intra-cranialpressure and so on…)… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acromegaly
was it a fair fight…? well Goliath would have had the following, if my theory were true;
*Severe headache
*Arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome
*Enlarged heart
*Hypertension
*Diabetes mellitus
*Heart failure
*Kidney failure
*Compression of the optic chiasm leading to loss of vision in the outer visual fields (typically bitemporal hemianopia)
*Increased palmar sweating and sebum production over the face (seborrhea)
but hey, no body… no autopsy… no evidence… (such a shame, it’s such a nice story).
…to what extent is the notion that god stopped interfering in the matters of man after Jesus rose into heaven true, leaving man and his free-will to decide his fate, true? And if that is so, why then do we steal hear holy-men talk of miracles today? Are they not lying to their flock? And if they are lying, on whose behalf are they acting? God, or the father of lies? Be the judge…
