I dug up some photographs from my recent trip to the UK. I thought I’d share with you some interesting things I saw in the city of Cardiff while I was there.
From afar it looked like a church:
Closer inspection revealed that it was actually a shop!
Care for Durex condoms? No problem…
…just check right below the hookah (sheesha pipe).
This shop actually used to be a Presbyterian Church, once upon a time. People stopped going, and it got sold off.
Now it’s a shop.

I used to live in Cardiff and rather often saw “for sale” signs in front of churches or churches repurposed to something more useful. On Newport Road, there is an art and crafts shop in an old church (http://inkspotartsandcrafts.com/about/), and I think that’s one of the most beautiful things you can do with a church. This church now actually helps to create good stuff. 50 meters down the road there’s another church still for sale. And once I stayed in a lovely little church in north Wales that is now a bed and breakfast. 🙂

It won’t be long before one gets turned into a brothel, at this rate 😀
