True to that, indeed. Case in point: Uganda’s first lady Janet Museveni, who apparently told her hubby and electorate that ‘God’ had told her to represent Ruhama constituency (where she was born) that was then being represented by Augustine Ruzindana from a rival political party (FDC), and guess what?! She’s now not only an MP but also the Minister for Karamoja affairs (another ‘god’-calling as well, like her hubby who is apparently the only one with the ‘God’-given vision to lead Uganda), on top of being the 1st lady!
One wonders how ‘God’ selectively appears only to them alone with such much-desired ‘callings’ of power/leadership. Soon, after Museveni has had enough, don’t be surprised when she claims that this time gave her a bigger task by telling her to run for Presidency and take the mantle from her hubby! What a strange ‘God’ it is! Lo, no wonder to me, religion and politics are inseparable!
Sorry James, had to let that out of my system; it’s choking me. Otherwise, that’s a well-thought out quote.
Cheers and keep it up.
